Tuesday the 31st of May

It was really good to see most of the group in class today and to listen to your presentation ideas for your projects. Remember uni is like an endurance exercise and you are aiming for the end date of Monday the 27th at 5:00pm, not before and not after. Time management is essential in this planning.

Waiata

Ehara i te mea1
Nō nāianei te aroha
Nō nga tūpuna
Tuku iho, tuku iho

Te whenua, te whenua
Te oranga o te iwi
Nō nga tūpuna
Tuku iho, tuku iho

Whakapono, tumanako
Te aroha te aroha;

Tuku iho, tuku iho.

Not the thing
of recent times, is love
but by the ancestors it has been
passed down, passed down.

From the land, the land
comes the wellbeing of the people;
by the ancestors it has been
passed down, passed down.

Faith, hope
and love;
by the ancestors they have been
passed down, passed down.

Field Trip

Friday the 20th May we are going on a field trip to St PAUL Street Gallery to see Te Ihu o Mataoho.
The van leaves MIT carpark at 9:00am sharp.
Koha is $10.00 and needs to go to Jackie by Tuesday the 17th, so she can make us lunch.
Remember to think about ways that your art can be inserted into the gallery for documentation for your practice, for example if you screen-print t-shirts, wear one of your works.
